Voyager Extended
Voyager has been extended to a 35 minute orchestral piece.
It will be performed during Remal's final graduation recital at
WAAPA by November 2024. The piece is about the space station
Voyager which was launched by NASA in 1977 and already
13 billion KM away from Earth exploring the majestic size and
beauty of the universe. The space station is searching for new
Worlds throughout the universe and the music is designed to
match that exploration. Just like the universe, Remal tends to
add mystery to the music and some dramatic movements.
The piece currently has four movements to it. The Launch,
Deep Into Space, New Worlds, and Towards the Light.
Remal uses visual pictures to assist with his vision as the space station travels throughout the universe. Remal is planning to hire an animator to animate Voyager in motion and his final orchestral recording to it. These pictures will also be used as a guideline for the animator. The final animated clip will be played visually along side the Ensemble during the final Graduation recital to allow the audience connect with the composer's vision and to take them to a truly unique journey across the Universe. Remal is planning to hire members of the orchestra from WASO to perform his final graduation recital so he can get the unique big orchestral sound he is dreaming to achieve with Voyager. The final orchestral sound will be mixed and mastered and added to the real animation clip and it will be released on Youtube for the world to enjoy. Remal is also planning to apply for grants from the Australian government for an international touring where he could potentially take an orchestra with him from Australia touring and visiting places such as Dubai and Qatar and promoting peace through his music.
Piano Concerto - Perseverance
Perseverance is a new piano concerto Remal has written lately in the key of D- major. it will be re arranged for orchestra and strings and to be performed as part of the final graduation recital next year. The piece tends to express Remal's struggle throughout life and his persistence to overcome all challenges thrown at him along the journey.
It has a very unique story to how it was written and the
inspirational elements behind it. It is the sense of
displacement that kept haunting Remal for years
which made him write this piano piece. Remal
intention is to finish his graduation recital with
a piece that is so personal to him. The composer
is currently working on orchestrating this piece
and it should be done by the end of this year.
The piece tends to rise in its melody attempting
to overcome all the barriers. Remal believes that
all these things that were thrown at him such as
poverty, war, displacement, hate and racism were
external to his pure soul. The composer's realisation
lead the melody to a brighter side in an attempt to
reconnect with the inner pure self and overcome all darkness.
